Shared Links Redirect Every Time Saying "Folder Does Not Exist"
Every time a colleague sends me a share link to a file in our shared dropbox I hit the same weird redirect bug:
- File opens in the browser
- Error appears saying "Folder XXX does not exist"
- Page redirects to an old file I have never one opened
The file it opens is the same one every time. This happens with folders that are public to organization members and ones that are just shared with me. I have cleared all browser data, used different browsers on two different macs and logged and logged back in multiple times. It just keeps happening and its driving me mad. Has anyone else run into this?

Do the links work for other people?

Yes. I seem to be the only person they don't work for.

Hi taylorolmstead, could you give an example of what the shared link looks like?
That message usually means they are sending you a link to a literal folder on their Dropbox account, such as https://www.dropbox.com/home?preview=test.docx. This example link would only work if you have a personal account with the file test.docx in your root folder.

Sure thing, here’s one of the links I was sent today:

Yep, that's just like the link I provided. You need them to create a shared link to the file itself, and not just a copy/paste of the URL as it appears on their page when logged in.
