Automatically mark files online-only based on usage
It would be nice if files are automatically made online-only to save space, with the following features:
- Dynamic target storage calculated from a percentage of available disk space, excluding dropbox files.
- When storage is approaching or exceeded the target storage, dropbox starts marking files online-only.
- The most infrequently accessed files are marked first.

Hi Vicary A., and thanks for posting this here!
Have you taken a look at our “Manage your hard drive space” tool? If yes, does it help with what you’d like to achieve?
If you can’t see this option on your end, please share with me your current Dropbox plan, as well as the OS version of your computer.
Also, if you open your Dropbox app preferences, and go to the Sync tab, are you seeing the "Save hard drive space automatically" option? Have you enabled that?
Let me know what you find.

I on the Basic plan, and I don't see the option of Save hard drive space automatically.
Do you mean it's a paid feature?

Hi again! I did a little bit of research in the meantime, and it looks like this feature is no longer available, so apologies for that. It basically allowed you to have files become automatically online-only, if they hadn’t been opened for some time.
Were you able to locate the other feature I mentioned above (“Manage your hard drive space”)?

Yes I can locate the feature. It seems to be manual actions, instead of the automtaic nature I am requesting.
