Dropbox referral shows as "ineligible" when using the same LAN.
Hi,
I went around a friend's house to help him setup a new dropbox account on his windows PC (for the first time) and we installed the desktop app. My own computer was on the same LAN whilst doing this
Under my "Refer a friend" option, his account is showing as ineligible. I understand from this forum it is because I was on the same LAN at the time, but I also understand that a DropBox support staff can correct this if they read this Forum article.

Hey Hannah.
Well, that wasn't obviouse for me. But no, he has not. He missed the message and it is not in his mailbox anymore - niether in the inbox nor junk.
Is it possible somehow to get such a message again?
P.S.: we tried to go through this the link (dropbox.com/home?send_verification_email=1) indicated by the Help Center, but it didn't work out.

Hi MrRuf, when you invited your dad via the referral link, did they attempt to activate it while on the same network as your own computer?

Hi there,
The ticket number is 25218543. And it seems the email was verified as, accordingly to the support team response, otherwise it isn't possible to share files (but it is).
In this case, I still have no idea why my dad's email is "ineligible" for referral.
