How to do I free up quota on my Dropbox account?

How do I move files off dropbox when my dropbox is full?  If I try to move, copy, etc., it stops me since my box is full and asks me to increase my storage.  If I am taking files out of storage, I won't need more storage.  Is this a bug?

Hi Need Help3, thanks for posting today!

You should be able to download files from the site, and then delete them manually.

Another method would be to use the Dropbox desktop application for the files to sync to your desktop machine. Once they're there, you can move files out of the Dropbox folder to another folder on your computer. This would then delete those files from your account, freeing up space.

If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
