How to earn more bonus storage space?
Hello everyone, after permanently deleting my old account many years ago, I wanted to give Dropbox a chance again. And as of today, I'm back with you 🙂
For now, I am continuing the process with 2 GB of storage space in the Basic plan. Long ago, Dropbox offered a small bonus storage space if we completed a few steps as we registered. Even in another step, you were given extra space if you told them why you liked Dropbox. Later on, I remember turning on camera uploads and uploading a few photos would give us a few GB of storage. Are these rewards over? If not, how can I earn the bonus storage? Are there other tasks and offers other than referrals and device bonuses where we can earn bonus storage? I'm also curious about referrals. For example, I'm currently entitled to a 16 GB bonus. When I upgrade my account to a paid account later, will the space I've earned automatically become 32 GB or will I need to earn another 16 GB referral?

Yes. Those other programs no longer exist. At the moment, referrals and the various device promotions are the only ways to earn bonus space.

Yes. When you upgrade to a paid account, your referral bonus space is doubled from 500 MB each to 1 GB each. If you later downgrade back to a free account, your referral space will be halved back to 500 MB each.
Rich, so good to see you. When I saw the “Getting Started” section on my account, I got excited for a moment. I'm sorry that the small bonuses have been discontinued. Let's keep earning space with referrals 🙂 Thanks for the info.
