The .dropbox_bi folder takes up 679GB on my new computer and there's no hard drive space left.

I have three computers, each of which have different storage needs. I had been using all three on my Dropbox account, with different folder sync settings, and that had worked for years. I recently replaced on of my computers, and now Dropbox won't seem to let me set the backups on the new computer. It seems to be trying to sync everything, and does not have enough space - so now the computer simply say not enough storage space. my .dropbox_bi folder is eating 679GB, and I cannot even get into it to see what all that is. Do I need to delete my entire back from that computer and start over again?

Welcome back to our Community, Michael Gene S.! Hope you’re doing well.

As a first step, can you send me a screenshot of the .dropbox_bi folder that you see on your computer and one more of its current size?

Besides the .dropbox_bi folder, have you made some of your other files/folders online-only, or used selective sync, so that not all of them take up hard space from your device?

    Let me know more details.
