What happened to my lifetime bonus of 16GB?

I have a free plan (2gb), a few years a go you ran a promo to acquire new accounts and offered a lifetime bonus of 16Gb making my total FREE acount =18Gb.

 

When I started to fill up my data plan I was informed at about 1.85 Gb that my account was almost full and that I should get a paid plan.

So what has happened to my EXTRA FREE for life bonus of + 16Gb?

    This promotion still runs. However, to get the extra 16gb of space you needed to refer 32 people to Dropbox. 

     

    All of these people then needed to sign up for a new Dropbox account and install Dropbox on a unique device. This has to be a computer. Mobiles and tablets do not count. You can see the status of these at www.dropbox.com/referral_status
