Solved

Why has my referral quota been removed, and I'm down to 2 GB only?

My account HAD 7.5 GB of personal referral space and 2.5 GB of other referral space, for a total of 12 GB.  All the extra space is gone now?  I'm down to 2GB?  Why?  I'm getting Can't Sync messages, and other errors.
I see other people are having similar issues.
When I signed up, over a decade ago, I was informed my extra space was free for the life of my account

Hi HankD1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you access this page on your account to view your total quota, and this page for your referrals?

Please let me know what you see on both pages, and if need be, provide a screenshot showing the total quota and referral amounts.

This will help me to assist further!

BTW, Since I started this inquiry earlier today it now says 12GB of 12GB, which is more accurate

And now, as I'm PERMANENTLY deleting things, the storage is going up.

    huh?

For future reference, you don't need to permanently delete files. Deleting them is enough to reclaim that space. Permanently deleting a file will have no effect on your storage space.
