Can we have a way to toggle Recent files on and off in account settings?

I want to be  able to toggle on or off the show Recent Files.  First,  I prefer to NOT  SHOW ANY RECENT FILES.  I want my own privacy and not have someone open my computer and be able to view Recent Files.  These are my files and I do not like Dropbox to have a feature enabled that  compromises my privacy.

Turn off Recent Files.  Allow me to switch it ON...or switch it OFF.

End of story.

Hey lowam - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this with us.

Just to make sure I got this right, are you referring to the desktop app and the files that show in your activity or the Recents area on the website perhaps?

    Thanks!

Windows PC.  Dropbox Icon in the System Tray bottom right corner of the screen.  When you click the icon up pops the recently accessed files.  I am the user and I should be in charge of whether I want recently accessed files show up or not.  This should not be a pre-determined decision by Dropbox.

As was just posted by Mark when he says..."I've asked for this for years. :( "

Yes for years and Dropbox has done nothing about it.  So your kind words dear Megan leave quite a lot not mentioned....like...we want this done YESTERDAY.

These tech companies simply have no clue as to designing User Centric websites....They just follow what their techies and developers produce without considering the end user.
