Solved

Desktop app on Windows doesn't display correctly. The pop up window looks duplicated.

In the app window when I try to select an icon at the top another duplicate but smaller window appears. The same issue occurs in other places (see 2nd screenshot). I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the app but the same problem occurs. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  • Hi Megan,

I tried deselecting Hardware Acceleration (GPU) as suggested in the older case and that worked. I didn't realise there was a Ctrl+click option to pull up a extra set of options?

I'm so pleased after putting up with the irritation for a long while.

Hey Tim_J welcome to our Community!

When did you first notice this behavior?

Would you mind clarifying the OS you're using, and the Dropbox app version that's installed on the device? You can find this by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon on your taskbar, next to your WiFi.

Also, do you happen to be using two monitors?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

    Thanks Megan.

I noticed this behaviour some months ago and have just been putting up with it.

Windows 10 and DropBox version 218.4.4348.

I do use a second monitor.

Hi Tim_J, thanks for the heads up!

I recall an older, similar case to yours. You can see more about this here

Can you try out the steps that our staff member, Andersonw suggested and let me know if this works out for you?
