Dropbox app is stuck indexing two files for weeks on my Windows device.

For weeks the Sync Icon is busy turning. Hovering the mouse over the icon it says "indexing two files", opening the icon it says " two files ar syncing". How can I stop this? How can I find out, which files are in question?

Any help appriciated, Michael

Hi Michael L.43, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

What is the OS you're using? I’d also like to know the app version you’ve installed on the device.

Can you send me a screenshot of your Dropbox app’s current syncing status? Have you ensured that this is not caused by a 3rd party app on your computer like other cloud or syncing, or backup services or even security programs like antivirus or firewalls?

Let me know what you find!

Thanks for the screenshots, Michael L.43! Can you go ahead and reinstall the Dropbox app on your computer?

If this doesn’t make a difference, please perform an advanced reinstall instead.

Let me know how it goes.

Hi Nancy, thanks for your help. In your support docs thers is a lot about the "advanced reinstall" but I canot find anything about a non-advanced reinstall. Would you please explain how this is done without resyncing 80GB?
