Dropbox icon on macOS Sequoia is showing a sync error but still syncs
Hi all - I am on a Mac (Sequoia 15.5) in a company network. My dropbox (2TB) worked flawlessly until this morning: The Dropbox Menu Icon is greyed-out and has a little cross in there, and the pull-down menu indicates "can't sync".
However, the strange thing is that the syncing still works perfectly !
This is pretty scary, as you don't really see when new files get synced (the little sign that turns during the sync in the menu-icon).
Anybody has this issue ? Popped-up today (27.06.25). DB version 227.4.4774.

Hi there, BluecoreTX, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
If you've restarted your computer and the issue persists, can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar (without clicking on it) and let us know what you see?
A screenshot of the error would also be helpful, if you could send one.

Thanks a Hannah, somehow "magically" the problem has been resolved this morning. Maybe it helped that the Computer was turned off over the week-end ? Well, at home on my MacBook I did NOT had this problem. I think it had something to do with our company network. Keep you posted if it pops up again. Best
