Dropbox won't open on my PC because it thinks I do not have Windows 10.
Since a couple of days Dropbox won't open on my PC. Dropbox says it is because I have Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 but I have Windows 10 since september 2020. See the screenshot I made of this problem.

Hey Mat - sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Was there an update on your computer's OS lately or a change in the security software you've installed there?
If this persists after rebooting your computer, could you try reinstalling the app using the offline installer from this page directly?
Let us know of any updates!

Hey Mat , let me also jump in here!
It sounds like the problem you mentioned is similar to what other users reported on this thread.
Can you check the device's compatibility mode, to make sure it's set-up correctly for Windows 10? Let me know of the results.

Hello Megan, I read the thread but it is not clear to me what the solution is, it is so complicated and nowhere it is mentioned what I need to do. I had serveral reinstallments. Hoe can I check the compatibility mode?? It is in Windows 10, see the picture:

Hey Mat!
After doing an internet search it seems that you should be able to right click on the Dropbox shortcut (or the program executable file) of the program that you want to fix.
Afterwards click Properties, select the Compatibility tab. You can then click Run this program in compatibility mode and select one of the operating systems from the drop down menu.
Can you let me know if this helps?

Hi Megan,
Thanks for you reaction!
I have tried your solution and the strange thing is that I can not select Windows 10 als an operating system, I can only select windows 7 or 8 but that of course does not solve the problem. As you can see on my screenshot above, I use windows 10 for almost 5 years now. So, this is now a big problem?
