How can I link my desktop app to my existing Dropbox folder?
Hi,
I just unistalled Desktop App on my PC and want to install it again. Could you tell how to do it so all existing files already saved in on my PC will be relinked to Dropbox Folder without donwloading them again?

If your Dropbox folder was in the default location (you hadn't moved it to a different folder or drive) and you're signing in with the same Dropbox account, just reinstall the software like normal. It should see the existing folder and it will reindex your files, only uploading or downloading any changes it finds.
Just a word of caution, if the computer has been unlinked for a while and you have a lot of changes in your files (either locally or online), I wouldn't do this. I would rename the local Dropbox folder and then install the application, allowing it to download everything fresh.

Did you try this on your PC? Dropbox does not allow to use my old location. It says that the folder already exist and I have to choose another folder/location.

Hi White Tower, when you perform an advanced reinstallation of the app, you get the option at the end of the installation to choose the location for the Dropbox folder.
Make sure to choose the parent folder in which your current Dropbox folder resides. For instance, if your folder is located in C:\My Files\Dropbox, choose C:\My Files.
If the app determines that this folder is from the same account, then it will link the folder to the account and spend some time reindexing all the files to check if any changes were made.
