I can't login to the desktop app, it says 'waiting to connect to account'
Restarted my computer today, and now I can't get into Dropbox. I used my gmail login, did the hokey pokey, turned myself about, repeatedly but the app is still saying "waiting to connect to account".
I opted to keep the basic plan because that's all I need; off site storage. Did they do away with it? Are they quiet quitting the free plans? Last I was notified, I was using around half of my storage space, 1 GB.
Sometimes it says "limited to 3 devices, log out of one or more" all the devices listed are the same machine, my laptop.
Somebody screwed the pooch on this "update"!
Please advise.

Hi y2kdeuce, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Do you have different computer profiles on the same machine logged into your Dropbox account, as each profile is considered a separate device.
Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
This will help me to assist further!

No additional profiles, no VPN connected at the moment although I do use two when needed. I do have Crowdstrike security installed.
I just tried logging in with email / password (I think it's correct) and I get a spinning square. No fail, no success, just spinning.
The app goes from "starting" to "waiting to be linked to a dropbox account".
What IP / port is it trying to connect to? I can try telnet to rule out Crowdstrike.
This is the contents of debug.log

Are you able to temporarily disable Crowdstrike to see if this helps with the Dropbox desktop application when logging in?
Is this a personal machine or a company-managed device?

I do not control the crowdstrike on my machine. What changed? What address/port needs to be open?

There hasn't been any change in the Dropbox desktop application. This article gives more information about specific ports that would help other apps interact with the Dropbox desktop application.
