I unlinked my PC but dropbox is still backing up files.

I unlinked my PC but dropbox is still backing up files. I don't see anything when I click manage backups--it just goes to download dropbox. I tried downloading the app again but it stalls. I just want dropbox off my computer. I can't change the free plan--it's grayed out. It says I'm reaching my size limit. What should I do? I hate this program.

Hi ang133, let's jump right into this!

You mentioned that you unlinked your device. When you say that Dropbox is still backing up files, what do you mean?

Are you referring to your Dropbox folder locally on your device? If so, then you'd need to delete it manually after unlinking, and uninstalling the app on your end.

As for the free plan, do you wish to upgrade? If not, then Basic is our free plan, and the next option in the scale would be to delete the account entirely.

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

But will I be deleting the files on my computer?Everything in the dropbox is also in my PC under documents and desktop, and downloads. I don't want to upgrade I don't want to upgrade, but if I delete dropbox will I be deleting all my files that are listed under My PC?

Hi ang133, could you try these steps, but instead choose the option to Reset OS folders locations, to see if this helps.
