Last date Dropbox desktop app will function on Windows 7
I receive messages in the Dropbox notification list saying, "Dropbox functionality on Windows 7 will end May 2025." What is the exact date on which that will happen? If I upgrade to Windows 10 before that date, will I need to reinstall or otherwise reconfigure Dropbox for it to work on Windows 10?

Hey DroppingJ - thanks for posting on our Community!
As a matter of fact, Dropbox ended the support for Windows versions 7, 8, and 8.1 in October 2024.
While the Dropbox desktop application on Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 may continue to function for some time, it's important to note that these versions will no longer receive updates or support after October 22, 2024.
Also, even though we don't have an exact date to share at this time, note that Dropbox plans to limit or cease all functionality for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in May 2025.
Your content will remain securely stored in your Dropbox account. In addition to supported Windows versions, you can continue to access your files from supported web browsers, iOS, and Android apps.
We recommend upgrading your operating system to the latest supported version of Windows to continue using Dropbox without interruption.
I hope this helps!

I'm sorry to say that you didn't answer my question. I didn't ask when Dropbox will stop "supporting" Windows 7. I wrote because I am aware, because of the message I receive in "notifications," that Dropbox "plans to limit or cease all functionality for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 in May 2025." I want to know when that will happen--May 1, May 30, May x. Since May 1 is only 2 weeks away, that must be known by now. Please find out.

When this has happened previously its been on a rolling program over a few weeks so Dropbox almost certainly wont know or be able to tell you what and when it will happen as it will depend when your account is picked up.
In terms of installing Windows 10 it should just work for you although the desktop Dropbox app would probably need reinstalling via http://www.dropbox.com/downloading as it will be out of date.
