OneDrive backup icons for Desktop and Documents folders change to Dropbox icons on Mac
Hi everyone,
I'm experiencing an issue with Dropbox on my MacBook Pro. I have my Desktop and Documents folders synced to OneDrive, but after installing Dropbox, the icons for these folders in Finder's sidebar change to the Dropbox icon. I'm not syncing these folders with Dropbox, only with OneDrive.
I've been in touch with Dropbox Support, but the solutions provided so far haven't worked. Here are some of the steps I've tried:
- Force quitting Dropbox: Using Activity Monitor to force quit all instances of Dropbox and then restarting the app.
- Removing and re-adding folders: Right-clicking on the affected folders in Finder's sidebar, removing them, and then dragging them back from their original locations.
- Restarting Finder: Relaunching Finder after quitting Dropbox.
Despite these attempts, the issue persists. Has anyone else encountered this problem and found a solution?
