System tray window on the new version of the desktop app is locked to bottom right side of desktop

As often the case nowadays, an upgrade behaves like a downgrade.

I see many of you had that problem where the latest update wouldn't accept your existing Dropbox folder and had to make a new one elsewhere.

The other problem (this is Windows) is that calling up the prog it insists on locking to the right side of my desktop.  Normally a program gives you options for this either in preferences or in the basic corner of the window, but of course not with Dropbox.

So does anyone here know how I can get this app undocked from the edge and float where I can best use it on my screen?  Even if it's a file tweak somewhere. Something.

Thanks

Hi there Cluckey - than ks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community.

I'm not exactly sure what you'd like to accomplish and what's  troubling you. Could you provide some  additional information and/or a screenshot so that we make sure  we're on the same page?

    Thanks so much.

      Thank you.
A "docked" window  is when an active program window anchors itself to the edge of the screen. I've been in tech support and that's pretty common terminology for that function. I don't think a screenshot is necessary for something like that.
I'm on Dropbox basic 219.4.4463 for Windows. I am using Windows 10.

      - To replicate this I go to my system tray where the idle Dropbox icon is
      - I click it to access the prog.
      - In the past this would launch the window as an independent object but it behaves as though the prog is still attached to that icon in the system tray and the window remains in the lower right corner of my desktop.
Is this by design? Is it now just a preview or popup or tooltip for the system tray icon?

Hey Cluckey, thanks for your feedback here.

The pop-up window that opens when you click on the Dropbox icon in your system tray is and should be "docked" there.

What shouldn't be docked, is the preferences window that opens after clicking on your initials/profile pic > Preferences.

Are you able to move that window around as normal?
