The Dropbox installer doesn't work on my Win10 device; I keep being redirected to the website.
My Dropbox was working fine on my old computer (for 10 yrs), but I had to change the computer because it stopped working.
As usual I downloaded (many times now) the installer. I have followed as many blogs and settings recommendations but nothing seems to work. I have a Windows 10 pro. When I run the installer it is supposed to redirect the app to a link, but that link doesn't work.
This following is the link that is supposed to redirect it. I have already tried settings on 2 different browsers (chrome and edge) but it doesn't work.

I have tried all of the above but it doesn't work, and I do have internet connection. There is no firewall blocking the domain. I also tried to run it as "admi", uninstalling the installer, restarting the computer, erasing DNS, and many other suggestions from other blogs. So far nothing has changed...
I appreciate the information and advice if anyone has encountered the same poblem. Many thanks for your assistance and time.

Thanks for posting this on our forum, andreasanchezj! Let’s have a look.
First off, have you also tried our offline installer?
If this doesn’t work either, and besides the firewall that you mention, do you have any other kind of security software running on your computer that could be interfering with Dropbox?
Finally, if you’re on the free Basic plan, can you clarify how many devices you’ve currently linked to your Dropbox account, as shown under the Devices section here?
Keep me in the loop for any updates.

Nancy,
Thank you so much for your reply.
To answer your questions: Yes. I have also tried the offline installer.
But still the same error.
The antivirus I had, I already did a change for Defender.
I do have the basic plan, and I already removed the old computer. I have 2 devices linked to my account, and it is my understanding that I can have 3.
Can I do something else?

Thanks for the additional info! As a test, can you also disable Microsoft Defender for the time being and restart your device? Please try to install the Dropbox app again after that and let me know what happens then (while Defender is still off).
