There are too many context menu entries, how can I delete some of them on Windows?

When right clicking a file/folder, there are just too many Context Menu entries which is slowing down the appearance of the menu itself.

Could anyone suggest how can I delete/remove some or all of the Dropbox content menu entries in Windows?

There's no option in Dropbox to alter the context menu items.

Sure there is! Although disabling all Dropbox entries fromShellExView and ShellMenuView had no effect (which would normally be the first step to cleaning up the context menu), I found that deleting the Dropbox* folder from this location in the registry works:

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PackagedCom\Package

(note: I am using classic context menus, as the new win11 ones take too long to open)

Thanks for the input, D P, this might help other users with similar questions!

I would like to point out that editing the registry, in general, could result in problems for the Windows machine, so I'd recommend users to edit the values at their own risk.

Additionally, if you were to update or reinstall the Dropbox desktop application, it's likely that the same registry entries would get repopulated, so you might need to edit them again.

    Hope this helps!
