What to do with Backup, now that I want to sell my device?
I have backed up my PC (docs and desktop) to Dropbox. Now I want to sell my computer but keep all the backed up files so I can organize and transfer to a new computer. Will my files stay in the Dropbox Cloud if I wipe my computer? Is there something I should do or check before uninstalling Dropbox so that I don't lose files?
Thanks,
P
Hi patgombarcik, let's jump right into this!
It seems that you're using our Backup feature, and you now need to sell your device but you don't want to lose your content.
If you wish to keep your content backed up to Dropbox, all you'd need to do would be to quit the app, uninstall it and then erase your Dropbox folder, so the device has no sign of your personal files there.
That should do the trick! If you have any questions, let me know!
