'Your post contains invalid HTML' when inserting a hyperlink to a Dropbox Community reply

Regarding this forum, I get an error message

"Content Not Published
Your post contains invalid HTML. Remove the following invalid tags before publishing: a, a (class), a (data-lia-auto-title), a (data-lia-auto-title-active)"

when I merely used the "Insert/Edit Link" feature.

It happens upon clicking on "Publish" after I inserted a hyperlink like to this comment* as an actual link rather than pure text:

    i get this as well, thanks for pointing out to use raw text, was frustrating me so much. don't understand why this is still an issue as dropbox is the one that creates and moderates the forum. they should just remove the hyperlink feature until they fix it or fix the issue on their forum software

    Sure! I was able to make the post, there was just sort of a hang-up where any attempt to add a hyperlink appeared to result in the error. I ended up having to copy/paste the body text into a freshly reloaded form without using the hyperlink feature:
