"In one week: Paper docs are moving to your Dropbox" but they haven't.
On December 13, 2024, I received an email from Dropbox stating, ‘In one week: Paper docs are moving to your Dropbox.’ However, this has not happened.
Instead, when I click the ‘Download docs you created’ button on paper.dropbox.com, I no longer receive an email with a download link as I used to.
Why isn’t Paper working as expected?

Hi there Tobejazz, let's jump right into this!
Based on what you described, Paper docs should now be in your Dropbox folder. Paper docs and Dropbox files will be accessible in the same place alongside all your other Dropbox content.
Additionally, when you select the Paper widget from the Dropbox website menu, you will be brought to the new Paper Home. You can access your docs from there or just as you do any other file on Dropbox. Can you check and confirm if that's the case for you? Also, what is the end goal you wish to achieve on your end? Do you wish to download your existing documents, or something else?
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

Thanks for your answer.
- My Paper docs are not in my Dropbox folder.
- I don't have a "Paper Docs" folder in my Dropbox folder.
- When I create a new Paper doc it doesn't show up anywhere in my Dropbox folder.
Where is the "Paper widget" ?
If I could have my Paper docs in my Dropbox folder that would be great. If not, I at least need to be able to download them..

Hey Tobejazz thanks for replying back with all the info!
If you try to download them using a different browser, or an incognito tab on your current browser, does it work?
Also, would you mind trying with one specific document, and let me know if you notice the same results?
Thanks!

- Downloading a single document through "Export" works just fine.
- I tried to Download docs you created in Safari private window with no luck.
- I tried to Download docs you created in Chrome with no luck.
(I'm on macOS.)
Can you help me to get my Paper docs into the Dropbox folder ?

Hey Tobejazz, can you check your account for a folder named "Migrated Paper docs" and let me know if your Paper docs can be found there?

Yes , it's there.

Glad you could locate it, Tobejazz! Are all of your Paper docs there, like Hannah asked above?

No, there’s no Paper docs in the folder.

Thanks for clarifying that, Tobias! As the next step, can you please create a new Paper doc on your Dropbox account now, close it and then, use the search bar on the website to locate it this way?
Are you seeing any results, or is the Paper doc missing from the results and the newly-created "Migrated Paper docs” folder?
Have you used the search bar for your existing Paper docs too, and you don’t see anything?

I created a new Paper doc from paper.dropbox.com and it shows up in the list of documents there, and if I search for it in the "Search by keyword or person" field, it shows up there as well.
The doc is missing from the "Migrated Paper docs” folder.
Whenever I search for a document in the "Search by keyword or person" field, I can find the document.
