No auto backup with Dropbox Backup for three days, why?
Hi
I've got auto backup set to every 15 minutes but Dropbox hasn't backed up since 3 March. When I hover over the Dropbox icon in the notification area, it is stuck on "Indexing dbxignore (1 sec)".
I'm running Windows 10 on my Laptop, Dropbox app version 219.4.4463.
Things I've tried:
- Quitting the app.
- Pressing alt + H and selecting fix hardlinks and fix permissions in preferences>accounts
- Uninstalling / re-installing the app.
What do I need to do to get back to having regular backups?
Cheers.

Hi cavasta, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
In order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.
Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, which is sent via email in a few minutes, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system.

I received the following reply from support:
>>I'd recommend that you rebuild your configuration settings by unlinking and relinking your Dropbox account to your computer. This will restore any settings which may have been changed without affecting or removing your files.
Please follow these steps to unlink and relink your computer:
1) Right-click the Dropbox icon in the system tray or menu bar.
2) Click on your profile picture or initials to the right of the search bar, and select Preferences.
3) Select the Account tab.
4) Click Sign Out under the Account tab.
5) Dropbox will then prompt you to re-enter your account information.
Your account will then take a few moments to re-index your Dropbox folder, and sync any pending changes before returning to normal activity.<<I've followed the steps outlined above and DB is now backing up my files from scratch. It's too early to say if this has solved everything as the backup is taking so long (currently on day 2 of the initial backup 😮). I'll report back when, hopefully, everything's complete and settled down.
