Tasks on Dropbox Paper aren't syncing
For a few days now (looks like the issues started mid-march 2025), the to-dos lists on Paper are no longer synced.
This happens on the web UI and on the Paper app (used on 2 different devices). Both lists are consistent (what I see on the web is exactly the same as what I see on the app), but the lists are not consistent with the Paper documents.
For instance:
- A to-do removed on a Paper document is still on the to-dos list,
- A to-do that had been completed on the Paper document is still marked as "to-do" on the to-dos list,
- A to-do which due date had been changed stills have the old date on the list.
Note that I'm using Dropbox Paper for years, and it's the first time I'm having this issue.
Thanks in advance for the help!
It now works. Looks like you did something, thanks!
For the record, the HTTP call generating a non-up-to-date json was:
https://www.dropbox.com/paper/tasks/list?onlyCompleted=false&excludeWontFix=true&type=tasks-assigned-to-me

Hi Mikael D.1, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you attach screenshots showing this issue on your different devices to see this in action?
This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay , thanks for your answer!
On this screen recording, you'll see:
- A to-do in the list whereas the to-do had been deleted, and what happens if I click on it.
- A to-do with a not up-to-date due date, and what happens if I click on it.
- The creation of a new to-do (then I wait for the sync), and the to-do list without this to-do.

On this screenshot (I did it ~12 hours after the screen recording), you'll see that I'm on another device (my laptop, running linux & Firefox vs the screen recording on my Android mobile), and that the to-do list is the very same.

Hey Mikael D.1, for security reasons, we can't open those links; can you attach the screenshots themselves to your next reply or send us Dropbox shared links instead?

Thanks for the info, I wasn't able to replicate the behavior you're experiencing.
Could you try uninstalling and reinstalling the Dropbox Paper app on your device, and also try using a different browser for the website?

Done: I did new tests on Firefox (private mode), and Chrome (private mode). Same behavior.
