Dropbox just charged me £199 for an automatic upgrade; all contact options are grayed out.
Hi all - I was recently sent some files by another user on Dropbox, I think they tried to share a folder with me. As the files were over 2GB in total I wasn’t able to view or download them… every time I attempted to do so it just took me to the upgrade page. Eventually after a lot of trying different things , I managed to download them.
Whilst trying anything I could think of I must of accepted the free trial without actually realising it…
Dropbox then charged me £199 yesterday for the automatic upgrade but now I’m struggling to even contact them as all the options (chat / submit a request / request callback) are greyed out and “not included in your plan”. So I’m at a loss on even how to contact them to contest it.
Their auto send alert email went to my junk box so wasn’t alerted to the fact they were going to take the fee.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get in touch with them?
thanks!

Hey DRJ22! Thanks for posting this on our forum.
You didn’t, by any chance, upgrade your Dropbox account via the iTunes/Google Play apps on your mobile device, correct? If you’re not 100% sure, please also check your bank statement where your Dropbox charges appear.
In case this is about direct Dropbox charges though (via www.dropbox.com), I can open a ticket for you and contact you at the email address you see here.
Let me know what you find.
