I have a Dropbox charge but my account is a free one

This is very concerning and illegal. I have received a charge in my banking from dropbox for no apparent reason. I have a free account and never even entered my banking information at any point and time. I need a refund and to have my accounts closed and deleted!

Hey Matt Stuseck, thanks for joining our Community and sorry to see you're having trouble.

Please keep in mind that it's impossible for Dropbox to charge you, unless you manually enter your billing info to either upgrade an account or create a trial.

Can you please use this page here to see if you can locate the account that's being charged?

Once you do that, let me know if this is an account you own or someone else's.

    Thanks.

It’s a charge to my TD Visa Debit card. And it’s not a 12 digit number like in the link.

When I log into my Dropbox it shows no recent transactions?

Hi Matt Stuseck, let me jump in here!

Have you tried to contact Dropbox Support directly for this?

You can visit the Support page while you're not signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.

Once you do, feel free to send me the ticket number reference, in order for me to locate it on my end.

        Let me know more!

As Hannah mentioned, Dropbox cannot charge you if they don't have your billing information. If you've been charged and didn't enter your billing information, then someone else has and you should be contacting your bank as well.
