I'm not sure what steps I should follow to claim my HP promotion.

i signed in the dropbox but i don't understand what to do to claim it I have bought a hp product and idk what to do

    Hey ocidemus, thanks for posting here today! 

    Let's jump right into this! Did you buy your device new or pre-owned?

    Also, did Dropbox come preinstalled on the device or did you download it yourself? Do you see any relevant pop-ups that would allow you to enable the promotion?

    While you're at it, please take a closer look at this Help Center article, and let me know if this helps.

    its a new device

    i downloaded it myself but there was a app called dropbox promotion but it says an error .
    i did not see any pop ups to enable .

     it pops up when I open dropbox promotion

    Can you check if there's a Dropbox icon in your task bar, like the steps to claim the promotion describe here?
