Is Family Plan good for a small team of 4?

I have a small team of 4 people, we work in an NGO and do not have much data to deal with. However, a lot of our data is confidential.

I was suggested by the dropbox sales team to go for Dropbox business, however, I dont want to spend a lot of money and do not have a lot of data either. Can someone explain me how family works, and will it be a good plan for me?

Hi srishtiHR, thanks for messaging the Community!

The Dropbox Family plan is intended for family members to share a quota pool between all members, and a Family room is a shared folder that all members have access to.

However, regarding security purposes, there is little extra security provided when compared to a personal account in general.

For instance, members of the family can easily leave the family without any input from the family manager, whereas in a Dropbox Business team, only the team admin can delete team members. Additionally, family members can share files and folders with non-members, however in a Dropbox Business team, this can be restricted to only team members. There are a lot of other features available on a Business plan which can enhance security when compared to the Family plan
