Live chat support isn't available for my Essentials plan?
I currently have Dropbox Essentials which states "Live chat support" as a feature, however if I go to https://www.dropbox.com/support/chat it just redirects me to https://www.dropbox.com/support and even the Chatbot button does not work. I've opened a ticket for help on a sync issue, but still no response after 24 hours. How do I get chat support working? I've tried multiple browsers and computers.

You arent on a trial are you? Support options are only available to paying users.
Also is there anything on there about times? Not sure of your timezone but could you be trying when its closed?

Not on a trial. Time is 9:50AM CDT yet chat is not available.

Hi Jay , I'm currently trying to resolve a sync issue and have opened a ticket on that (#24402288)
I have also opened a ticket for the chat issue (#24411457) where I uploaded a video showing what you're requesting. 3 days and no acknowledgement on that ticket.

Thanks for the info, could you reply to the original ticket ID 24402288 with the video you mentioned in order to continue the support request from there?
Creating new tickets can create unnecessary delays when handling a specific issue.

The tech in that initial ticket did not acknowledge the chat issue so I assumed he was ignoring it. It is a separate issue than the sync one, so it's probably better to have it in a separate ticket. No work on the chat issue has been done on that original ticket.

Our engineering team has informed me that the redirect has been fixed and chat should work properly now. Please let us know if you're still experiencing any issues.

It isn't for me; I'm having the same problem reaching the live chat area. Also on Essentials plan.

Does the issue persist after clearing your browser's cache or using another browser?
