Request for Refund on Automatic Dropbox Subscription Renewal
Hi Dropbox Community,
I’m seeking some advice regarding an automatic renewal for my Dropbox subscription. Recently, my PayPal account was charged $119 for the annual renewal, but I no longer need the upgraded storage. The subscription was primarily used for a project that has now been completed.
I’ve already contacted Dropbox support regarding this issue and requested a refund, but I wanted to see if anyone here has gone through a similar situation and how the process worked for you.
Additionally, I’d like to confirm if, after unsubscribing from the upgraded plan, others with whom I’ve shared folders will still have access to the files I uploaded, or if there are any limitations I should be aware of regarding shared access.
Thanks in advance for any help or insights!

Hey iamkialyn, thanks for joining the Dropbox Community and happy Monday!
In most cases, payments for Dropbox subscriptions are not refundable, unless required by law, however each case is carefully investigated.
Can you please give us the ticket number for your communication with our support team, so we can take a look as well?
Regarding sharing, no shared folder members will lose access to the files, even if your account gets downgraded.
If your account goes over its quota after the downgrade, the account will simply stop syncing new files.
If you have any other questions, let me know.

Hi Hannah,
Thank you for your response. I don't have the ticket number but I only received the auto response when I contact the support. (see below)

You can't do that. As noted in the automated response, they don't monitor incoming email for support. You need to open a ticket on the Support page.
