I seem to be paying a subscription to Dropbox but I only have a Basic account.

I moved on to a basic drop box account more than a year ago which should be free. However I am being charged £19 99 per month for this account and for the life of me can't get through to a customer service representative to talk it through. Can the community forum help me at all as to how I can get in touch with Dropbox?. My bank account just says that I am paying  to db.tt/cchelp and tells me which card I am paying from

First, if you can, use the credit card charge lookup tool to identify the account you're paying for, and make sure it's the same as your Basic account.

You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums, and you'll see an option for Billing issues. It's best to use an Incognito or Private browsing session to make sure you're not signed in.
