Data centers in Europe.

Hi,
I am trying to set up an insurance for cybersecurity in my company. The insurance company requires that the data centers where my data is duplicated are sperated by more than 350km. OUr current data location is in Europe. Anyone knows if this requirement is fullfilled by the european Dropbox data centers?

Hi FMouret, welcome to our Community!

Keep in mind that data stored in Dropbox is located in the EU and US.

We continue to offer to host business customers’ files in Europe if they choose this option however the personal data that is entrusted to us is protected equally under GDPR whether it is hosted in Europe or the US.

Keep in mind, that your content is most likely stored in the US, unless you chose something different on your end.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

    Hi @Megan

    THank you for answering.

Our data is located in Europe. My question is: Are the different data centers in Europe separated by more than 350km? It is a bizarre question??? Ask my insurance company why they have this requirement... 😅 probably in case of nuclear war....

    THank you for feedback

Hi FMouret, for security purposes, unfortunately we can't share any information regarding the physical location of our data centers, nor how far away they are from each other.
