End-to-End Encryption, upgrade existing shares?
With the announcement of this new end-to-end encryption today, is there an easy way to upgrade an existing shared folder to encompass this new feature? IE: without having to re-create the share, move the data, and re-share the permissions to the various people?

Hi slemay ,
currently we do not offer an end-to-end encryption of existing folders.
So yes, your right: You will need to create a new (encrypted ) team folder, share it with the right people and then copy & paste your content inside.
But we know that this is a request and we are evaluating this internally. - slemay2 years agoNew member | Level 2
While this is disapointing, I'm happy to hear you're working on this. We have a very large share (close to 500 GB) that I think we'll just wait until we can upgrade to this feature for. As those who share it - some have some folders setup to download, some run 100% through the cloud and others have 100% everything copied to their workstations. It would be a huge undertaking to re-create that for them all. Hopefully this can come sooner, rather than later.
Thanks for the very quick response!!!
