How long does Dropbox keep my files?

I am preparing to go to a prison. How can I prevent my data from being deleted for seven or twenty years? I keep my 1Password keychain on Dropbox and want it to be available once I am free.

  • Hi Limo16, thanks for posting here!

Dropbox has a policy for inactive accounts, and the soft-limit of this is around one year. I'm afraid that we're not able to keep an inactive account from closing down after 7-20 years, unless you frequently access your account.

    I hope this clarifies!
