I can't access Dropbox Passwords on my new iPhone, since I no longer have the old one.

Hi, I've bought a new iphone ( last one get destroyed in an accidend) so I'm trying to log in into my Passwords account but I'm unable to do it.

I've tried via my dropbox account but then it try to send a notification to my old Iphone... guess what... then I've tried via the 12 recovery words but nothing.

Is it possible to find another way or to receive on my registered dropbox and Passwords email the 12 words again ?

thank you in advance!

Daniele

Hey daniele catamo, sorry to hear about this.

Besides your old iPhone, do you have any other devices that are connected to your Dropbox Passwords account (even a browser with the Dropbox Passwords browser extension)?

Can you clarify what happens exactly when using one of the 12 recovery words you previously received (in their original order)? Due to security reasons, it’s not possible for Dropbox to resend those, I’m afraid.

Let me know what you find.

Hi Nancy thank you for your answer!

No, only on my Iphone.... so no other device...I've tried to have access through my Macbook but no way...

Actually I think that I have lost the 12 recovery words ...the ones I was using were from another account so i suppose I'm screwed...

    :(

Hmm, I see. You didn’t have the Dropbox Passwords extension previously installed on your Mac computer, correct?

If not, I’m afraid there’s not much to be done indeed.

    Thank you for your kindness!
yes I agree with you… I’ve to find a way to remember all the passwords or I’ve to start writing tons of emails to the customer’s support !
