I can't access my account due to the two-factor code not being received

1- I have a paid drop box account and can't log in because two-factor isn't sending a code.
2- I accepted the back up upgrade the other day and all my document files have been deleted. I can't log in to drop box to see my files because of problem #1. I had to create a new account just to get to community support. Can't log in on other devices because of same problem.

PLEASE HELP. I'M DESPERATE.

Hi toni_kamins  thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail.

You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the same email you use to login to Dropbox.

Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system

Thanks. I've done the chat already. I was able to get into my accout through the icon on my task bar (WIN 10), but the files were backed up last night after the problem started. I still can't log in through the website and my files are still gone except for old versions that are pretty much useless to me now.

If you follow the steps provided in my previous response, you can contact the support team for them to look into the issue with the account access.

Thanks. I'll try it, but as far as my files are concerned it looks like I'm screwed.

I tried everything you and the online chat people told me to do. I was sent a link to where Dropbox now stores backups and the support person showed me how to access it. I downloaded, extracted the file, went to the location and the file is empty. Three years of information and worked totally lost.
