I can't login to my account in Australia with 2FA enabled without my UK phone number
Hi Community
I'm based in the UK and am currently travelling in Australia. Trying to login to my DropBox account for work. I'm using a virtual sim and don't have access to my texts for the two step authentication.
How else can I access my account?
Thank you
Grant

Hi Grant Henderson, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Have you tried using your emergency backup codes in order to login to your Dropbox account?
You can also use other methods to login using these steps.
Keep me updated with any progress!

I’m facing a similar issue and hope someone here can help us both. I’m currently in the Philippines, and my mobile phone was lost. The phone had my verified DITO SIM number, which I used for two-step authentication on Dropbox. Unfortunately, I can’t recover that number anymore.
I’ve already obtained a new SIM and registered it using the same ID, but I’m unsure how to access my Dropbox account and retrieve my data with this new number.
If it’s possible, can I verify my identity using my Philippines ID or any other method to regain access to my data? I’m happy to provide the necessary information to prove ownership.
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!"

You cant.
The only way to get access is via the emergency backup codes you were provided upon set up. Then once logged in you can change the numbers etc. However, without the 2FA device or recovery codes the account is almost certainly lost.
