My account is in locked stage, after joining another team, and I can't access my files.

I had my dropbox account for long time. There was event where someone shared the file with me on the dropbox which turned out be horrible mistake. My account somehow was linked to his admin account and i received the email on oct 14 which shows that account is in locked stage and when i clicked to retrieve the file nothing happend and now i lost all my files. Can someone please help.

Thanks for posting this on our Community, vthakkar.

From your description I understand that what’s happened is that you accidentally joined another user’s Dropbox team, correct?

Can you clarify what you mean though when saying the account is now in locked stage? Are you referring to this perhaps?

Please send me a screenshot of the email you received (just make sure to mask your email address first.

Also, where are you clicking to access/retrieve the file in question? I’d like a screenshot of that too, if you don’t mind.

Let me know when you have more updates.
