My Dropbox account signed me out, and asked me to create a new one in order to use it.

Hello, I’ve had my Dropbox account for years and all of the sudden it isn’t allowing me to log is and when i type in my email I’ve used for years it basically says it isn’t registered. I use it for both personal and business and I have files going on years.  I just created a new account with the same email I’ve been using. Can you please help me restore it

When was the last time you signed in to the account? If an account is idle for more than a year then it will be deleted due to inactivity. Unfortunately, once an account has been deleted, there's no way to restore it or the files it contained.

If you were able to create a new account with the same email address, then no other account exists for that email. There's nothing that can be restored.

Are you sure you're using the correct email address to sign in?

    Hey there.

yes it’s the same email I’ve been using for years. Even one of my email account to look for dropbox related emails to double check. I was on dropbox less than two weeks ago. My Dropbox is usually always logged in to all my devices and when I tried to go on today it signed me out on all my devices I tried. Tried email. It sent me to a create a new account.

Hey Kaminsky1234, let's jump right into this!

Did you use an individual subscription or a Team one?

In any case, I think it'd be wise to send you an email in order to have a closer look into this. I'm suggesting this, since I'm going to need account-specific info to possibly identify what happened, and see if there's something to be done.

Let me know if you'd be okay with that.

      Thanks a bunch!
