We're getting phishing emails from Dropbox.

Hello,

I would like to bring to your attention that our clients are frequently receiving Dropbox emails that appear to be from "our employees." The domain is legitimate, as it is no-reply@dropbox.com; however, these Dropbox links contain malicious files. It seems that scammers are utilizing your platform to generate phishing emails that are sent directly from Dropbox, impersonating users within our company. We believe there should be enhanced policies implemented by Dropbox to address and prevent this issue.

    Forward all relevant information to abuse@dropbox.com, but don't expect a response. Also, if these appear to be coming from actual employees in your company, I'd check to make sure their Dropbox accounts haven't been compromised as that's usually how this happens.

    Have you already reached out to abuse@dropbox.com, like Rich mentioned above? If so, and you've received a ticket ID, please send it over to me here, so that we can check from our side.

    Other than that, if at all possible, I'd encourage you to share this Help Center article about phishing with your clients.

    For any account-specific concerns and questions regarding the security of a Dropbox account, it would be best to contact our support team directly (from this page). That said, keep in mind that we're also here to help in any way we can.
