What happened to my old Dropbox account?

It seems as if a "new" Dropbox came out in the last 5 years or so, and I can't get into the account I used to have wich contained family videos. Help!

Why can you not get in to it? What happened?

How long ago did you last log in?

I can get into a Dropbox account but NONE of the stuff we had in there remains. It's an empty shell

How long ago did you last use that account? If the account was idle for more than a year, then it would have been deleted due to inactivity. If that's the case, then you're likely signed in to a new, empty account now.

Unfortunately, once an account has been deleted, neither the account nor the files it contained can be recovered.
