What to do if my device ends up with malware.

I need some help, here's the thing, some time ago, without knowing it I ended up uploading a file with virus.. And I deleted the file.. After 24 hours the account returned to normal, I wanted to know how I can prevent this from happening again, because if it happens, spending 24 hours with everything blocked, is very harmful to me.

Install Malware and Virus scanning protection on your machine. Dropbox doesn't scan files as you download nor can it track and monitor whats on your machine. Thats something you need to do separately.
