Enabling Capture changed my screenshots to online only

Enabling Capture changed my screenshots to online only

Yesterday I got the pop-up and enabled capture. Now, since I did that my screenshots folder is no longer automatically saving jpegs locally. Which makes me have to make them available offline before I can preview them and drag them where I want them etc.

Hey @helpme426, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

I'm not sure how Dropbox Capture could affect syncing of your existing files, but let's see what we can find out about this.

Are you referring to the Dropbox Capture app or the browser version?

Also, are you using a Windows or Mac computer? And which OS version exactly?

Did you get any other updates either on your OS or on Dropbox recently?

Let me know and we'll go from there.

I am using a mac using venture 13.6.1 and I am referring to the finder version I guess. The only thing that changed between yesterday and today is that I enabled dropbox capture and it changed my Screenshots folder behavior.

Hi @helpme426, does this only happen with your screenshots folder?

Also, would you mind clarifying the Dropbox version you're using on your end?

You can find this if you hover your mouse over the little Dropbox icon, next to your WiFi on your menu bar.
