Me and my wife just got married. We had around 50 guests and all of them was taking photos and videos on all possible kinds of devices: IPhones Androids GoPro cameras Professional 4k video cameras (380Gb), And even one drone!
I desperatly need a way to collect all this media content and pass it to our production wich will make a documentary, retouch all the photos etc. Now its overcomlicated and even does not work on all devices. I suggest to completely redesign the UX of file requests:
1. Make it 100% crossplatform for both sides - DB owner and uploader
2. Make the upload process contextual to requested media type and uploader platform. For example create progressive/instant webapp for iOS and Android with uploadable local files preview, selection and filtering.
3. AI integration for tagging functionality. Train or use pre-trained model to tag media content with: color palette, objects like grass, tree, sky, dog, blabla etc. Believe its already working very good.
I'm mobile a lot and if a client needs something done, I may need some files to get started. Being able to quickly create a request on the go via the android app would really speed things up.
I've moved your post under this thread as it's the one that reflects you feature request; i.e. the ability to open up a file request through our mobile app that is.

I have the strong suspicion Dropbox had this feature from day one but for economic reasons will not give it to the users as it would allow people will little Dropbox use ride piggyback on a user with a payed account. I will reconsider my subscription if this feature that I was assuming had to be there isn added soon. I don't carry a laptop in vacations and need to create folder for the whole family to upload and share their pics in full resolution and edit the names for album creation and pic sorting. If this feature is not there from mobile I believe another solution can be found at an even lower price point.
