Can't access a link

Can't access a link

I was given a link to an audio file for a job evaluation but dropbox only has their infuriatingly unhelpful error message (seriously, is that thing designed to add to frustration or what)?

Thing is, it was a form email that I got so there's no one on the job side I can contact so... I need to figure out how to get dropbox to do something about this. Any ideas?

Its a catch all error message - so it could be that the people who sent it out have used up too much bandwidth and so had links banned, it could be they actively deleted the file or the link and so it no longer works OR it could be that its been taken down due to legal reasons.

What is the error?

There is currently a technical issue with shared folders, but, I dont believe this is links: https://status.dropbox.com/

If the link doesnt work nobody at Dropbox can fix it, sorry. The only people who can are the people who sent it.

"That didn't work for some reason" above a picture of a bat eared bulldog.

I honestly feel like dropbox is trolling me with that message.

EDIT: It may be part of the issue, you mentioned, I don't think I'm the only one with the link
