Missing shared folder

I am sure this is the wrong area, but there wasn't an option for folder missing suddenly.  I have checked if they were deleted and they were not, they are gone off the website and my computer. Somewhere they still exist because it was a shared folder and the people it is being shared with still can see it.  I am the owner of the folder.  Please help, I have the basic plan, therefore I am not allowed to talk to actual Dropbox for help.

    If its a shared folder and you cannot see it it means you've left it.

     

    You can try and rejoin at www.dropbox.com/share OR get somebody in it to reinvite you back

    Hello,

    a couple of folders, with all their subfolders and files, disappeared today both on the web and the dasktop.

     

    There is no trace of deletion in the "events" page.

     

    What should I do?

    So if they dont show on Events they then it can only be one of the following:

    • A shared folder that has been left/had access removed from it
    • Been permanently deleted 
    • Never existed on Dropbox in the first place. 

    It can only be one of those three things as it isnt possible to clear events otherwise.

    I found out that the person I shared it with removed the share.

    I hope this does not mean that he permanently deleted the files, otherwise I'm **bleep**ed.
