Mac: Can I delete the log files & instance3 within the hidden .dropbox in my Document folder?

In a mission to minimise the size of my System Data. I noticed that when I revel hidden folders in File Browser, it's showing a .dropbox folder that has a large amount of log folder & instance3 folder. Just wondering if it's okay to clean these 2 folders out (I won't delete)?

Thanks for your patience, after consulting with our team, the instance folders can contain real data, which shouldn't be deleting.

Additionally, deleting the log folders can cause a resync, which could result in compounding errors. It could also end up generating additional logs.

Hi nyssa_dmcg, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you clarify where you found this .dropbox folder in your file structure, in order to determine where it is?

Deleting the logs shouldn't be an issue, however, I'd hold off deleting the instance3 folder just yet.

This will help me to assist further!

    Hi Jay,

Thanks for your reply. I got there from the Apple button>About This Mac>General>Storage>Documents>File Browser>Then Reveal Hidden Folders and what's in the screenshot is showing.

Let me know if you need more info.

    Hey Jay,

Thanks for confirming, I won't be touching those logs after all! Won't want to break the rest of the files for sure.
