Excel for the web opens files in the Excel app on Android instead of the Dropbox website

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my tab s9+ and dropbox.

I generally use Excel for Web to edit .xlsx files located in my Dropbox space. If I install the Dropbox app on Android it asks me to install Excel to be able to edit those files. And so far everything is normal.

The problem lies in the fact that, once the Dropbox application has been installed, it is no longer possible to use Excel for Web even by accessing the file via browser. In practice, when you ask to open the file via Excel for Web, instead of carrying out this action, the tablet opens the Dropbox application, not allowing me to edit the file unless installing Excel on the tablet.

Do you have any suggestions on this?

Thanks everyone for the help

Thanks for your post, xalexiox! Do you have any other browsers on your tablet where you can test this on perhaps?

If the same issue persists there too, I’d like a couple of screenshots of what you see on your end, while using the Dropbox website/Excel for the web option.

Keep me posted for any updates.
